Hexham Horse Trails, The Linnels - NE46 1TS

From A69, follow AA signs for Horse Trials.  The 'yellow route' on our map is the safest route to the event.  Only cars should use B6306 from Hexham to The Linnels as there is a very narrow bridge with sharp 'S' bend just before the entrance to the event when appraoching from the north (Hexham), UNSAFE FOR LORRIES OR TRAILERS.  The recommended approach is via B6307 from Corbridge, the event is held at the junction of the B6307 and B6306 for Slaley.  Competitors travelling from the south are recommended to use A68 and turn left at Riding Mill roundabout onto A695 heading west, then left onto B6307.  Avoid the river bridge at Corbridge which now (2011) has a 7.5t weight restriction.
